PureChoice building performance system is Web-based

The PureChoice system differs from other building performance systems in that it is Web-based which allows for ease of use and ability to track air quality in real time.  Measuring carbon dioxide, monoxide, ozone, temperature and humidity, the software “notifies” building occupants if unfavorable conditions exist for air quality problems.

Most notably, HEI Hotels and Resorts, a chain of 30 brand-name hotels that includes the Westin in Minneapolis, saved $900,000 in energy costs and won a national energy-efficiency award last year, in large part because of the PureChoice system.  Additionally, the company is involved in an effort to make the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., more “green,” and has a hand in the air quality and energy assessments of the General Services Administration’s 630,000-square-foot Whipple Building.   With help from PureTrac technology, the GSA identified “energy savings opportunities of approximately $144,000 a year,” according to a GSA report.

Minnesota-based building performance software company, PureChoice Inc., has partnered with telecommunications technology company, Telesystems, Inc. in Plymouth, Minn.  Through PureChoice’s value added reseller (VAR) program, Telesystems will now include the company’s building performance technology, PureTrac®, to enhance its reach in the market.

PureTrac software, from PureChoice, provides companies with a cost-effective answer to the ongoing struggle between energy conservation and indoor air quality and comfort.

PureChoice established its three-level partner program to provide VARs with best-in-class service and expand new sales channels for the PureTrac® system, real-time building performance software that reduces energy costs while protecting indoor environments.  As a leader in telecommunications technology, Telesystems, Inc. provides installation and service of communications systems in the private and government sectors.  PureTrac® and the Nose® monitor offers a preventative and environmental solution for valuable telecom and data equipment.  With this partnership, Telesystems will use the PureTrac® software and related Nose® Monitor to expand and strengthen its overall product and service offering.  Additionally, Telesystems will offer the PureTrac® solution for existing customers, while adding value to its sales effort with both new and prospective clients.   Telesystems, Inc. is certified by the Minnesota State Board of Electricity and is a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 292.

“We are excited to add Telesystems to our list of respected VARs,” said Kevin Kuhne, president of PureChoice.  “As our new partner, the PureTrac® system will be available to a larger and more widespread demographic, while also further aiding Telesystems in accomplishing their business and revenue goals.”

Also from PureTrac®, the Nose is a multi-sensor platform used in conjunction with building controls systems to allow efficient energy management and a comfortable, productive indoor environment.
